One of the better known hotels of Bikaner, Gajner palace is a fascinating blend of Mughal and Rajput styles of architecture. Sprawling over 6000 acres of landscape, this palace was built by the maharaja of Bikaner, Sir Ganga ram singhji. Gajer palace’s legacy is not limited to the rich history and sublime accommodation but due to the private wildlife sanctuary located within its vicinity and home to the endangered species like black buck, Neelgai, Chinkara amongst other varieties of animals. Originally used as the hunting preserves by the Maharaja’s, the fort has been renovated and converted into a modern day hotel while making sure that the royal touch remains embedded.

The palace has been designed into four separate wings, namely Champa Niwas, a tasteful courtyard with luxury rooms all around. The Gulab Niwas- where the 31 deluxe rooms are housed, Mandir Chowk-This is the historic reception area having an ancient temple and an ages old Banyan tree within its confines and is used for visiting dignitaries and distinguished guests.The 11 historic suites are located at Dungar Niwas, which were in the past used by the British dignitaries for a leisure stay.
