Royal Kafila, Pushkar
Undertake a journey through time and soak in the atmosphere of the way royalty of yore travelled in the desert. The royal Kafila comprises of 10 to 12 camel carts exquisitely designed and decorated in the traditional manner. The carts reflect the designs that were prevalent during different periods of history. The carts are double as well as multi-seaters with their own exclusive camel driver. A provision carriage and out-riders accompany the Kafila and as dusk falls and night sets in, torchbearers to show the way.

The Pilgrimage Kafila - to Pushkar Town
One of the most prevalent forms of travel earlier was for a pilgrimage to various sacred sites in the country. The journey could last for months and was an elaborate exercise with frequent halts, visits to various towns and villages and was conducted with an atmosphere of religious fervor inter-mingled with joy and gaiety. Pushkar Resorts recreates the atmosphere with a Kafila to Pushkar. A brief description of the Kafila is as follows:
The guests are seen off in the traditional manner by a group of women and girls with songs, aarti and holy tikka ceremony.
The journey to Pushkar, across the scenic dunes, is approx. 40 minutes with a short tea / coffee.
On reaching Pushkar the guests are escorted to the Brahma Temple and one or two other famous temples, the bathing ghats and then to wander through the quaint streets of Pushkar.
The guests are escorted back to the Resort in vehicles.
