Rajasthan Pushkar Tour

Day 01 : Delhi

Arrive at New Delhi city. Meet and greet upon arrival by our representative at the Delhi International airport and will be transferred to your Delhi accommodation for your overnight stay.

Day 02 : Old Delhi

After sumptuous breakfast take sightseeing tour of Delhi visiting important tourist sites of Old Delhi. Visit the Red Fort once a symbol of Mughal power, visit Jama Masjid 16th century mosque and largest in India. Stroll in the markets of Chandni Chowk and experience the mixture of history with modern world including visit of Raj Ghat, cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi the "Father of the Nation". Optionally one can see the famous light & sound show in Mughal vicinity Red Fort.  Overnight stay in Delhi.

Day 03: Delhi to Shekhawati (270 km 4.5 hrs drive)

Morning visit Qutab Minar which is the 12th century tower and one of the tallest towers of its time, walls here consist of verses from Quran (Holy book of Islam). Wander around the complex visiting ruins of Hindu temples and palaces which once remained here and view amazing 4th century steel pillar which has still not developed rust till date. Later have a visitation at Humanyun's Tomb – the mausoleum of the great Mughal emperor “Humayun” before driving to Shekhawati. You will arrive in Shekhawati region in the evening.

Day 04: Shekhawati to Bikaner (180 km 3.5 hrs drive)

In the morning proceed to visit Havelis. These havelis are museums in themselves, numerous havelis built by the rich merchants as their residence in 18th and 19th century. Shekhawati is a region of Rajasthan and is the homeland of Marwari’s traders. Later drive to Bikaner, another gem in Rajasthan. Overnight stay in Bikaner.

Day 05: Bikaner to Jaisalmer enroute visit Osian (330 km 7 hrs drive)

Morning visit the world-famous Camel Breeding Farms. Also visit Junagarh Fort, Lalgarh Palace and the Fort Museum. Later drive through the desert and proceed for Jaisalmer via Osian. Osian is a great centre of Hindu and Jain religions. The oldest Temple here was constructed in 1178 AD. Very often one can see along the road to Jaisalmer some of the antelopes of this region. Blackbuck and fast running chinkara are the most common among them. We have a stop enroute at a village to observe the traditional life of the villages in Rajasthan. We arrive in Jaisalmer in the late evening.

Day 06 : Jaisalmer

Camel Safari,Jaisalmer Tours

After breakfast visit Jaisalmer fort built on the highest point of the Tricuta hill, consisting of 99 bastions and the rich and beautiful palaces and "Havelis” of Jaisalmer Sonar Kila, Patwon ki haveli, Salim Singh ki Haveli and Nathmalji Ki Haveli. In the afternoon, there will be excursion tour to Sam Sand Dunes to enjoy camel safari and discover the various sights and sounds, the ruins and the temples in and around Jaisalmer in an authentic and leisurely fashion.  After camel safari drive back to Jaisalmer for overnight stay.

Day 07: Jaisalmer to Jodhpur (305 km 6.5 hrs drive)

After breakfast leave Jaisalmer for Jodhpur. On the way enjoy the scenic beauty of the Thar Desert. Arrive Jodhpur and check in at your hotel for relaxation. Later proceed to visit Meherangarh Fort - perched on a 150 m high hill, it's the most formidable and magnificent fort in Rajasthan, visit Ummaid Bhawan Palace - world's largest private residence built by then King to help his people to tide over a prolonged famine. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 08: Jodhpur to Udaipur enroute visit Ranakpur (290 km 6 hrs drive)

Today we drive to Udaipur. Enroute we will visit Ranakpur temples. Ranakpur is known for its superbly carved marble Jain Temples. An enormous basement of this temple covers 48,000 sq. feet. Ranakpur Temples are the most magnificent 15th century Jain temples situated in the deep secluded valley of the Aravalli Hills. There are four subsidiary shrines, twenty four pillared halls. Later drive to Udaipur. Upon arrival in Udaipur city check in at hotel for relaxation. Evening enjoy boat ride in Lake Pichola in Udaipur. Overnight at hotel in Udaipur.

Day 09 : Udaipur

After breakfast on your last day of Rajasthan Palace Tour visit City Palace built in 1559 small palace over looking at the Lake Pichola, The tour will cover lovely Sahelion-ki-Bari Gardens this small garden made for the queens and the maids have many fountains and other important figures. The Jagdish Udaipur, with many intricately sculpted idols displaying the fine Indo-Aryan architecture. Finally visit the Pratap MuseumTemple this Indo-Aryan Temple made by Maharana Jagat Singh in 1651 AD, is the largest and the most beautiful temple of The museum houses the old sculptures and inscriptions. One can see the antique paintings of Dewar and the turban worn by prince Khurram (Emperor Shahajahan) on display, which was gifted to Maharana Khazan Singh by Shahjahan. In evening enjoy with puppet shows and folk dancing is conducted every evening from 1800 to 1900 in an adjacent open air theatre. & Shilpgram to see the village arts & crafts. Overnight stay at hotel in Udaipur.

Day 10: Udaipur to Dungarpur (120 km 3 hrs drive)

Dungarpur, Rajasthan

Today we take leave from the City of Lake (Udaipur) and drive to Dungarpur. Dungarpur means a “Hill town” In Dungarpur we enjoy the overnight stay in a Fort which has been converted into a Hotel. We have the rest of the day at leisure and therefore enough time to relax and have a walk in the Bazaar of this heritage town. Overnight stay in Dungarpur.

Day 11 Dungarpur to Chittorgarh (225 km 4 hrs drive)

After the breakfast we drive to Chittorgarh. In the noon we visit world famous fort of Chittorgarh which is crowning 180 meters hill and covers about 170 acres. On the crest of the enormous grey hill, girdled by massive walls and seven majestic gateways, one stumbles upon shattered palaces, a "Temple of Mirabai" – the mystic poetess – and the intricately carved nine storeyed Tower of Fame, built in the 12th Century in honour of Lord Adinath, the first Jain Tirthankara. Overnight stay in Chittorgarh.

Day 12: Chittorgarh to Jaipur via Pushkar (200 km 3 hrs drive)

Enroute visit Pushkar city. Visit the only temple of Lord Brahma surrounded by Pushkar Lake. On the banks of the lake you will see devotees taking dip into the holy waters of Pushkar & offering prayers. Later upon arrival in Jaipur check in at your pre-booked hotel. Overnight stay in Jaipur Hotel.

Day 13: Jaipur

Morning proceed on an excursion to Amber Fort. Climb atop the forts ramparts on an elephant back to Amber Fort. Amber Fort - Ancient capital of Kachhawaha Rajputs rulers of Jaipur, Amber guarded one of the important defiles from invading enemies. Wander inside the Fort to see extravagant Palaces to witnessing the opulence of Rajput royal lifestyle amongst which summer palace, winter palace and mirror palace etc, are the most popular. Stop at the Hawa Mahal (Wind Palace) while going back to Jaipur City. Afternoon city tour of Jaipur visiting City Palace – official residence of the present royal family palace covers a large area divided into a series of courtyards, gardens and buildings. A part of this Palace is now turned into a museum housing Armoury, Textiles and Artifacts. City Palace is delightful blend of Mughal and traditional Rajasthani architecture. Overnight stay in Jaipur hotel.

Day 14: Jaipur to Agra enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri (255 km 4.5 hrs drive)

Fatehpur Sikri

Today we leave Rajasthan, the biggest state in India and drive through a series of fields, small towns and villages in direction of Agra. Enroute we make a stop and visit Fatehpur Sikri, which was once an imperial capital frozen in time, constructed by Akbar the Great in the 16th century. This wonderful city constructed by red sand stones was abandoned as abruptly as it had been built. It has been generally stated that it was due to failing in the water supply. Late evening arrival in Agra. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 15: Agra

We start today our sightseeing by a visit to the Agra Fort, built by three of the greatest Mughal emperors. The construction of this massive structure began in 1565 under Akbar's reign and continued till the time of his grandson's reign, Shahjahan who built the impressive imperial quarters and mosque.

Day 16: Agra to Delhi and depart (205 km 3.5 hrs drive)

Taj Mahal Agra

After breakfast proceed to city sightseeing tour visit world famous Taj Mahal, built by the Moghul Emperor Shahjehan in 1630 in memory of his loving queen Mumtaz Mahal. After having our Breakfast we drive to Delhi. On arrival at Delhi, you will be directly transferred to the airport to board flight back home or onward destination.
