Rajasthan Desert Camel Trek

Duration :- 10 Nights/11 Days

Destinations:Delhi - Jodhpur - Jaisalmer - Jodhpur - Ranakpur - Udaipur- Delhi

Day- 01: Arrive Delhi

Arrive at Delhi Airport and meet with our representatives who will transfer you to hotel. Take time to relax before heading out to the Akshardham temple in the evening, and enjoy the musical fountain show. Later, drive to the famous war memorial India Gate, which is a hub of activities and enjoyment at this time. Take an optional boat or Horse ride. Drive through the Rashtrapati Bhawan on your way back to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day-02: Delhi - Jodhpur

After a leisurely breakfast, continue tour of Delhi by visiting Rajghat – the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi and proceed to a tour of Old Delhi covering the 16th century Mughal monuments- Red Fort and Jama Masjid. A short trip to Chandni Chowk ends the Old Delhi tour.

Post lunch, visits the two UNESCO World Heritage Sites - the Qutab Minar and Humayun’s tomb followed by evening transfer to railway station for rail to Jodhpur which is an overnight journey

DAY-03: JODHPUR

Morning arrival at Jodhpur and transfer to a luxury hotel. Later, proceed to explore the city accompanied by an expert guide.

Jodhpur: The city of Jodhpur has several famous monuments to explore. Visit the Mehrangarh Fort, the dominant structure located atop a hill. Savor this 14th century Fort and many famous palaces inside including the Moti Mahal, Sheesh Mahal, and the Phool Mahal. Proceed to the Jaswant Thada, the marble cenotaphs located downhill and follow this with a visit to the Famous Lakes-Balsamanand and Kailana. Overnight at the hotel.

Day-04: Jodhpur - Jaisalmer - Desert Camp

Morning drive to Jaisalmer and upon arrival proceed to the Desert Camp located at a distance of 50 km at the heart of the desert. After introduction with the camel trainer & familiarization with ways of riding upon a camel, begin your desert safari by taking a short trip perched upon camel back & return to camp for dinner & overnight stay.

Day-05: Camel Safari

Full day Camel trek across the sandy dunes of Jaisalmer and adjoining areas. Enjoy the joyful ride visiting deserted villages to observe the nomadic lifestyle of the villagers. Evening trek back to the camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day-06: Desert Camp - Jaisalmer

Morning drive to Jaisalmer city and upon arrival check- in at royal Haveli. Post lunch, the Camel safari caravan will move around the city exploring all famous monuments.

Jaisalmer: Famous as the Oasis in the desert of Rajasthan, with the Desert Safari and the Royal Jaisalmer Fort being its main attractions. Morning visit to the Jaisalmer Fort, where almost half of the population still resides. Take a walk inside amidst the many shops, resorts, havelis and markets followed by tour of Tajia tower and Patwon ki Haveli.

In the evening, a short excursion trip to the Picturesque Sam Sand dunes and stay at a desert camp. Watch the magnificent view of the sunset and enjoy the Rajasthani folk music & dance program in the evening. Overnight stay at the camp

Day-07: Jaisalmer - Jodhpur

After a leisurely breakfast, drive to Jodhpur and after lunch and some rest explore Jodhpur, mostly perched upon a camels back.

Jodhpur: It is the second largest city in Rajasthan and is also lovingly called the “blue city” of Rajasthan as most of the houses of the old city are painted blue in color. You can get perfect view of the city by driving up to the Mehrangarh Fort which gives an excellent bird’s eye view of the entire city. Later visit the Jaswant thada which has got the cenotaphs in marble of the previous rulers of Jodhpur. Evening visit the Ummaid Bhawan Palace which is also known as the World’s Largest Private Residence. It is a huge Palace and was commissioned by the then rulers of Jodhpurs to help their subjects tide over a very difficult and enduring famine and draught. The never ending construction ensured that there was always a livelihood for the locals during the constructions and also help built the World’s Largest Private residence. Now a part of it is converted into a hotel and a very small part is now thrown open to public but nevertheless it’s worth a visit. Overnight at a luxury hotel in Jodhpur.

Day-08: Jodhpur - Ranakpur - Udaipur

Enjoy a hearty breakfast at the hotel .Later drive to Udaipur Enroute visit the beautiful Jain temples at Ranakpur. Built as a large complex they rest on 1444 pillars and none of whom are alike. They all have exquisite carvings and artwork done on them. Arrival at Udaipur and our representative shall assist you in check in. Overnight at a Haveli at Udaipur.

Day-09: Udaipur

The last town of the journey to be explored by Camel safari. Also known as the Venice of the east, Udaipur offers the best of Rajasthan, be it Hills, lakes, forest, palaces or forts. Take a boar ride on Lake Pichola, followed by visits to the Fateh Sagar Lake, the Sajjangarh Palace and the City Palace Museum. Overnight at a Royal Udaipur Haveli.

Day-10: Udaipur - Delhi

After a leisurely breakfast, assistance and transfer to airport to board flight for Delhi and upon arrival transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day free for leisure activities followed by dinner & overnight stay.

DAY-11: DEPARTURE

In time transfer to the airport and catch flight to your onward/return journey
