Ranthambhore National Park

Overview

Nestled between Aravalli and Vindhya Range of North-Western Indian state Rajasthan, Ranthambhore National Park is famous for its tigers and is often referred to as the best place to see these royal predators of the wild. Earlier it was a place of hunting preserve of the Maharajas of Jaipur and later it was established as a national park in 1980. Spread over an estimated area of 400 sq. kms., the Ranthambhore National Park is bound by river Chambal in the South and river Banas in the North. The tiger is comparatively easier to notice in Ranthambhore than in any other National Parks in India.

Sariska National Park

Overview

Situated on the Aravali hills and a former hunting preserve of Maharajas of Alwar, Sariska National park/ wild life sanctuary is one of the best tiger reserves in India. Considered as a national park in 1982, the Sariska National park has the distinction of having quite a few tigers and some other interesting flora along with a few historical ruins and monuments that are the reminder of its glorious past. Keoladeo Ghana National Park

Overview

Situated in Bharatpur district of Rajasthan Keoladeo National Park is considered as ‘Ornithologist's Paradise’ which is often known as Bharatpur bird sanctuary/ wildlife Sanctuary or Ghana National Park. Earlier duck shoots were organized in the area by the ruler of Behrampur which has later been considered as a national park and now accepted as a world heritage site by UNESCO.
