Day 01: Arrival at Delhi
Arrive at Delhi airport to a warm welcome from our representatives who shall assist & transfer you to the designated hotel. Rest of the day at leisure to explore the city followed by dinner & overnight stay.
Day 02: Delhi
Today our expert guides from will help you unravel old and new Delhi, as we visit both historical sites and modern marvels.
We shall start from Rajghat to pay homage to Mahatma Gandhi, followed tour of all four UNESCO World Heritage Sites of the city, namely the Red Fort- built in red sandstone by the Mughals in 16th century, Jama Masjid - regarded as one of the largest mosque in Asia, the monument houses several sacred memorabilia of prophet like his slippers, footprints embedded in marble etc., Humayun’s tomb- built in memory of Mughal ruler Humayun by his wife and Qutab Minar- regarded as the tallest single minaret in the world. Evening visit to Lotus temple, Akshardham Mandir and Chandni Chowk.
Dinner & overnight stay at Delhi.
Day 03: Delhi - Shekhawati (about 270 km)
After a leisurely breakfast, drive to Shekhawati located at Rajasthan and upon arrival transfer to a luxury palace. Rest of the day free to explore the serene and quaint town of Shekhawati. Dinner & overnight stay at Shekhawati palace.
Day 04: Shekhawati - Bikaner (about 190 km)
Full day tour of Shekhawati, whose landscape is dotted with royal Haveli’s adorned with frescos and paintings from the bygone age. These exquisite haveli’s were built by wealthy traders who used to reside here and later moved on with their business to other cities, leaving behind these masterpieces as their memorabilia. The frescos mainly depict incidents form Hindu mythology and of dancers, deities etc. Later, you shall be driven to Bikaner and upon arrival check-in at the luxury hotel for overnight stay.
Day 05: Bikaner
After a leisurely breakfast, visit to the famous Junagarh Fort constructed between 1571 to1611 AD. Regarded as the finest example of Rajput architecture, Junagarh is a red sandstone façade, richly decorated with several kiosks and arched balconies that exhibit extensive and beautiful carvings. Inside the fort we will find a number of historical monuments and palaces, adding to its ambience. Post lunch, we will be visiting the camel farm to get a brief insight into the methods of camel farming. Take a joyful camel ride at the farm, followed by return to the hotel for dinner & overnight stay.
Day 06: Bikaner - Osian - Jaisalmer (about 330 km)
After a leisurely breakfast, we will proceed towards Jaisalmer en-route visiting the sacred town of Osian. An important pilgrimage destination for both Hindu and Jains, Osian comprises of sacred temples built during historic periods, and the oldest temple dates back to 1178 AD. While driving towards Osian, we may come across wild animals that often come out from the jungle like Blackbucks, antelopes and Chinkara. Later, continue driving towards Jaisalmer and upon arrival check-in at a hotel for dinner & overnight stay.
Day 07: Jaisalmer
Full day sightseeing tour of Jaisalmer which is renowned for its exquisite forts & palaces. Its landscape is studded with several historic landmarks from the glorious Rajput period, of which the impressive Jaisalmer Fort is the most historic and popular. The carvings, decorative art and overall architecture of Jaisalmer fort is breathtaking. Another popular attraction is the Jain Temple which we will be visiting in the afternoon. A short excursion trip to Sam sand dunes located 40 km away where you will be treated to some spectacular views of the sunset in addition to traditional song and dance performance. After the eventful journey, drive back to Jaisalmer hotel for overnight stay.
Day 08: Jaisalmer - Jodhpur (about 290 km)
Morning drive towards Jodhpur, the "blue city" of Rajasthan and upon arrival a guided tour of the charming town. This second largest city of Rajasthan is fortified by a massive 10 km long wall with seven gates guarding the entrance. Jodhpur served as an important business and commercial center in the bygone age and even now exhibits almost the same old glory. And a tour of Jodhpur is incomplete without visiting the Mehrangarh Fort, one of the finest examples of Rajput architecture in whole of Rajasthan. Other places to visit include the marble cenotaph Jaswant Thada, and the busy and colorful bazaar.
Your overnight stay will be at Jodhpur.
Day 09: Jodhpur – Delhi
Morning time free for leisure activities, relax at the hotel or explore Jodhpur, interacting with the villagers. Post lunch, we wrap up our Rajasthan tour and drive towards Delhi. Arrival and transfer to Delhi hotel. Overnight stay at Delhi.
Day 10: Departure
In time transfer to international airport and board flight to your return/onward journey.
